BONNIE DOON CAMPUS PARK OPEN HOUSE AT VIMY ON MONDAY
Vimy Ridge Academy will be hosting an open house to share thoughts on the future use of the Bonnie Doon Campus Site. The Open House will be on Monday April 26 from 4 to 8pm in the East Gym. This is a great opportunity to see the concept plan and provide feedback on what it entails.

SPORT REC IS NOW ON TWITTER
Starting today, you can follow your favorite section of AAD on Twitter. There is a Twitter page devoted to AAD, The Hockey Program, TLP POWER, The BJJ Program, and Sport Recreation.
Each page will be updated with news and announcements from each section as well as interesting articles and information that we feel may interest student athletes and their parents in the program.

SPORT REC CLOTHING UPDATE
All Under Armour clothing has arrived and is at the screeners at the present time.
Delivery date is November 12th for all clothes for Vimy Ridge or Donnan.

SPORT REC GOES BMX RACING
The Sport Rec program at Donnan recently had the opportunity to go BMX racing at the Edmonton BMX Track. Students learned the basics of BMX riding and then took their skills to the track. There were a few minor crashes as students pushed themselves to the limit, but overall the students had a fantastic time.

VIMY RIDGE NAMED AS POSSIBLE TWIN ARENA SITE
Vimy Ridge Academy has been named by Edmonton City Council as a possible site for a twin arena and fieldhouse.
While it is still early in the process, the proposed arena would have a 500 seat arena on one side as well as a 250 seat arena on the other.
The field house would have seating for 100, as well as a fitness centre, commercial space and dressing rooms.
The site for the arena would be just west of the school where the school's track field is currently located. The track field and soccer facilities would be moved to the south where the metro continuing education school is at this time.
Sport Rec offers the chance to learn about the values of long term athletic development early in life, and is an amazing incentive for getting out of bed in a hurry in the morning! Sport Rec is an opportunity for student-athletes to work on core subjects in the morning and to explore a variety of sports and activities in the afternoon. Sport Rec is based on health and wellness, and never wanders too far from fun Check out some more specifics in Facilities.
